Realtek 2.67 HD Audio Driver Disponible

Es lindo ver como diciembre trae nuevos drivers de audio de Realtek. Estos códecs de audio han llegado a la versión 2.67 y son acompañados por el controlador de audio ATI HDMI, como de costumbre.

Como la mayoría de las nuevas versiones de los controladores de Realtek, el registro de cambios es bastante aburrido, ya que lista los chipsets compatibles con dicho software. Sólo vamos a mencionar que el chipset ALC280 ha sido añadido. El controlador de audio Realtek 2.67 viene con el driver Microsoft High Definition Audio UAAV1.0a integrado para Windows 2000 SP4, XP SP1, XP SP2, Server 2003 SP1. Aparte de las numerosas personalizaciones que Realtek incluye en cada versión, no hay nada mas para agregar.

AMD Catalyst 11.11 ya disponibles

En el día de hoy AMD puso a disposicion de sus clientes, los nuevos drivers Catalyst 11.11 correspondientes al mes de noviembre.

Resolved Issues for the Windows 7 Operating System

This section provides information on resolved known issues in this release of the AMD Catalyst™ 11.11 software suite for Windows 7. These include: · Images and textures are no longer corrupted (Blue) in Rage.
· Bezel compensation now works correctly with Far Cry 2.
· Screen tearing is no longer randomly observed while moving a window on the desktop while in Clone mode or Eyefinity mode.
· A black screen is no longer observed when extending displays.
· Homefront no longer crashes randomly when Crossfire is enabled.
· DC – Universe Online no longer hangs soon after selecting a character and entering the game.

KNOWN ISSUES
Known issues under the Windows 7 operating system

The following section provides a summary of open issues that may be experienced under the Windows 7 operating system in the latest version of AMD Catalyst™. These include:

· Screen tearing may be observed occasionally while playing Portal 2 in DirectX 9 mode.
· Shogun 2 may exhibit screen corruption while playing on low resolution settings in 2×1 Eyefinity mode.
· Choppy playback may be observed playing interlaced DVD content in full screen mode using PowerDVD 11.
· A BSOD error may occur while playing Call of Duty – Black Ops in Multiplayer mode with Crossfire enabled.
· Video corruption may be observed while playing World of Warcraft in windowed mode and AVI file simultaneously.
· Dragon Age 2 may exhibit corruption during in game cinematics when run in DirectX 9 mode.
· Lost Planet 2 my display random corruption and flickering when run in DirectX 9 mode.
· Lost Planet 2 may crash randomly when Crossfire is enabled.
· The following games may experience random flashing textures during gameplay :
o Homefront
o Metro 2033
o Far Cry 2
o Stalker : Call of Pripyat

AMD lanza sus controladores gráficos Catalyst 11.11a

Hace unas semanas atrás, AMD habia lanzado sus controladores gráficos AMD Catalyst 11.11 WHQL, ahora, han adicionado a ese lanzamiento la version  de “rendimiento” o “Performance drivers”, con los nuevos AMD Catalyst 11.11a. Estos nuevos drivers no solo brindan mejor rendimiento en varios juegos, sino que solucionan problemas variados de versiones anteriores.

• Improves DirectX 11 performance for single GPU configurations

• Delivers AMD CrossfireX performance scaling
• Resolves a number of image / stability issues seen with the title:
• Fix geometry corruption, sometimes seen in Bash TV entrance

• Fix issue with extreme corruption with missing textures on 32bit systems.
• Fix memory leaks when deleting/reusing sync objects.
• Fix hitching and pausing, especially noticeable on some Quad Core systems when doing races and Stanley Express runs.

• The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
• Improves performance 2-7% on single GPU configurations
• Resolve corruption seen when enabling Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing on the AMD Radeon HD 6970 Series

• AMD is continuing to work on a CrossFireX solution for Skyrim – as soon as it’s ready we’ll make it publicly available

PhysX System Software v9.11.1107 disponible

Además de ofrecer un nuevo controlador de gráficos, Nvidia ha puesto a disposición esta semana una actualización para su software PhysX System, la versión 9.11.1107, que tiene como objetivo resolver un problema que causa que PhysX no se acelere en los ordenadores Optimus.

Esta nueva versión también incluye el ultimo runtime PhysX y tiene soporte para las tarjetas graficas de la serie GeForce 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400 y 500 con al menos 32 núcleos CUDA y 256 MB de memoria.

El  PhysX System Software v9.11.1107 está a la espera para ser descargado en el sitio web de Nvidia.
